What's new in Bookky

Bookky changes every month. This is the plain record of what shipped, when it went live, and what is coming next.

Why this page exists

Booking software is something a business leans on every day, so it is fair to ask whether anyone is still working on it. This page answers with dates rather than promises.

Everything under Shipped is live in Bookky today. Coming next lists only work that has been approved, not ideas.

The changelog

Newest first. Each date is the month a change went live, or for upcoming work, the month it was approved.

Shipped

Live now.
  • An online shop for your products

With the Blaze package, a business sells up to 20 products for collection or delivery, and handles the orders in the same dashboard as its bookings.

  • Gift cards, spent at booking

Customers buy gift cards on the business's own site and spend them at the payment step of a booking. Balances, resends and cards sold in person are handled in the dashboard.

  • Your client list, a download away

A Clients page lists every customer with their notes and booking history, and downloads the client list and the booking history as two spreadsheets.

  • Filter staff by what they actually do

Services now carry categories, staff are assigned to the categories they cover, and the staff step only offers people who overlap with the chosen service. The no-preference option follows the same rule.

  • Tell me on my phone, immediately

Web push notifications, delivered to the installed dashboard on Android, desktop and iOS home screen installs.

  • Ask for a review afterwards

An automatic review request email goes out the evening after the appointment, once the business has closed for the day, with a link to its Google reviews page.

  • One service, several lengths

Services gained variants. One entry now carries as many durations as you need, each with its own price and deposit, and availability is checked against the exact one chosen.

  • Pay the renter, not the shop

Self-managed mode lets each staff member connect their own Stripe account, so their bookings are paid directly to them and never pass through the owner's balance.

Coming next

Approved, not live yet.
  • Appointment reminders

An email to the customer on the evening two days before their appointment, switched on or off by each business in Settings.

    Approved

  • Download your gift cards and shop orders

The same spreadsheet downloads the Clients page has, for every gift card with its code and balance, and for every shop order.

    Approved

What will not change

Some things are settled rather than scheduled. Bookky will not take a commission on bookings, and it will not add a feature that only works if your payments pass through us.

Common questions

Who decides what gets built next?

Right now, we do. Once businesses are live on Bookky, their requests decide the order, and the changelog shows what shipped.

How much does Bookky cost?

Bookky is included with Green Candle Digital Studio website packages rather than sold as a separate subscription. There is no per-booking commission and no platform fee on payments. Get in touch with GCDS for current package pricing.

How long does setup take?

A single setup call, usually the same week. GCDS configures your services, staff, opening hours and payment mode with you, and the booking flow is already part of your site build. You are not left with a blank dashboard to fill in.

Does Bookky take commission on bookings?

No. Bookky charges no platform fee and no per-booking commission. Card payments go straight to your own Stripe account, and Stripe's standard processing fee is the only deduction.
