For barbershops
A booking system built for how barbershops actually run
Short appointments, a full Saturday, and a diary that has to survive walk-ins. Bookky handles all three without turning your shop into an admin job.
The Saturday problem
Barbershops lose more money to no-shows than to empty diaries. A missed thirty minute cut on a Tuesday is an annoyance. Four missed slots on a Saturday afternoon is the difference between a good week and a flat one.
The fix is not a reminder sent the night before. It is asking for a small card deposit at the point of booking, which Bookky supports as a standard payment mode. Customers who put five pounds down turn up. The ones who genuinely cannot make it now cancel through the link in their confirmation email instead of going quiet, which puts the slot back on sale while it can still be filled.
What you get
Deposits that stick
Take a fixed amount or a percentage at booking, with the balance paid at the chair. Or turn online payment off entirely and stay cash only.
Chair renters, separated
Self-managed mode gives every renter their own login, their own hours and their own Stripe account. You see the shop overview. They run their own book.
Walk-ins in the same diary
Add a phone or walk-in booking from the dashboard and the slot disappears online instantly. One diary, no double-booking.
Real service lengths
A skin fade and a beard trim are not the same appointment. Give each service its own duration, price and turnaround buffer.
Set up in one call
GCDS configures the shop with you rather than handing you an empty dashboard.

Common questions
Can I take a deposit instead of full payment?
Yes. Each business chooses one of three modes: full payment online, a deposit online with the balance paid in person, or no online payment at all. Deposits can be a fixed amount or a percentage, and can be set per service.
Will Bookky reduce no-shows?
Taking a card deposit at the point of booking is the single most effective control, and Bookky supports it out of the box. Confirmation emails, reminder emails and a self-service cancel and reschedule link also cut silent no-shows by making it easy to move an appointment instead of skipping it.
Can I still take bookings over the phone?
Yes. Staff create phone, walk-in and admin bookings from the dashboard using the same availability engine, so a phone booking blocks the slot online instantly. Nothing gets double-booked.
Can each staff member have their own login?
Yes, and it is a per-business choice. In admin-managed mode one owner account controls everything and staff are resources with no logins. In self-managed mode each person signs in, sets their own hours, sees their own calendar and connects their own Stripe account. That second mode suits chair and room renters.
Does Bookky take commission on bookings?
No. Bookky charges no platform fee and no per-booking commission. Card payments go straight to your own Stripe account, and Stripe's standard processing fee is the only deduction.
How much does Bookky cost?
Bookky is included with Green Candle Digital Studio website packages rather than sold as a separate subscription. There is no per-booking commission and no platform fee on payments. Get in touch with GCDS for current package pricing.
